September 18th Project Pilgrimage presents
Patrinell: The Total Experience
|Project Pilgrimage presents a screening of Patrinell: The Total Experience, a documentary film about Rev. Patrinell “Pat” Staten Wright, a gifted African-American gospel singer who grew up in the segregated South and strives to maintain the world-famous Total Experience Gospel Choir that she directed for 45 years in the rapidly changing, historically black neighborhood of Seattle’s Central District.
This stirring documentary is the story of one woman’s journey to share faith and create community through music.
Join Pastor Patrinell “Pat” Staten Wright, producer and co-director Tia Young, Rev. Gregory Staten, Jessica Howard and Robert Stephens for a post screening panel discussion and Q&A.
Changing The Narrative
We are thrilled to be offering Conversations Across Difference (C.A.D.) this year. Our series theme for 2019 is a meditation on: how do we do our part in changing the narrative? C.A.D brings us together in a truly unique space to build intergenerational and interracial community, to listen to all voices and hear our own. Reaching outside of our daily social circles, we come together to share stories and reflect on what our role is in strengthening our community.
Each series will include an interracial intergenerational group.
